About Us

Narrow Gauge and Industrial is the home of the NG&IRM REVIEW and RCL Publications.

NG&IRM Review

Narrow Gauge and Industrial Railway Modelling Review was started by Roy C Link in 1989. It is a quarterly journal featuring the very best of finescale narrow gauge and industrial modelling.

RCL Publications

RCL Publications started in 2000 with the book 'Two Foot Rails to the Ironstone' - written by Paul Ingham. Piloting a fresh new format for railway books, the clean layout, detailed drawings, maps and the inclusion of much more than mere 'nuts and bolts' has proved a great success. Other titles have followed - see our list of books,  and more are in preparation.

Recent History

As many will know, a few years ago Greystar took over the production and editorship of the REVIEW with Roy C Link remaining as the production editor. Greystar provided on-line subscriptions and managed the distribution of the REVIEW as well as RCL books. Then with Bob Barlow's sad and untimely death the ownership of the REVIEW reverted back to Roy. Roy was supported by John Clutterbuck in re-establishing the business together with an online presence and digital subscription management.

In 2017 John and Marion Clutterbuck took over the business side and distribution which leaves Roy free to concentrate on REVIEW editorship and RCL book production.
