Back in the 1980s Roy built an Orenstein & Koppel 0-6-0WT in 1:48 scale. In REVIEW 115 Roy recounts how it came into his hands and then how he brought it up to running order gain with new motor and DCC sound, etc.  Here is a short video of the results.
